I use many tricks myself to make me look way more vascular on pictures. If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I have veins running over my lats, abs, quads and shoulders. If you want to make your veins even more visibile, things like beet and pomegranate juice are amazing.

Elevated nitric oxide dilates blood vessels and improves blood flow to muscle tissue, and will help you achieve that much-desired veiny bodybuilder pump.

Beet juice is known to be an effective performance-enhancer due to the high content of nitrates. The nitrate in the beet juice is converted to nitrite in the mouth by bacteria. Nitrite is converted to NO in your stomach and many other body tissues. So eventually, beet juice increases levels of nitric oxide (NO) in your blood.

Pomegranate juice is very high in antioxidant polyphenols that can increase the expression of eNOS, an enzyme in your body that creates nitric oxide from its pre-cursors. If eNOS is more active, more NO can be made. But that is not all, the polyphenols can also prevent the destruction of the NO, so it’s effects are longer lasting.

Metabolic stress is a driver for muscle hypertrophy. One of the most common signs of metabolic stress is the pump. Achieving a good pump every workout can result in long-term muscle growth. Because metabolic stress is a driver of muscle hypertrophy it is smart move to have some very intense high rep-range sets till failure in your hyperthrophy focused workout program and also apply progressive overload on those sets. If you have some good peak contraction isolation exercises in your workout, you will get pumped up if your nutrition is spot-on.

If you really want to notice it, drink 500 ml beet juice and add 250ml of pomegranate juice. The effects are dose dependent.

Yes, there will be a lot of people that are going to complain about the taste. Just add some orange juice or whatever. Or just don’t be a complete PU$$Y. I actually like the taste of beets and pomegranate, combined.
